The life of Alf Engers is the story of British competitive cycling between 1955 to 1979, encompassing track, road, time trials and everything in between, flying from the Paddington Circuit to the Skol Six, via the National Road Race championships and the A1.
Alf will be in conversation with the author, Paul Jones, before doing a Q+A with the audience. It is a unique opportunity to hear Alf speak about events which have since passed into cycling folklore. Find out everything you wanted to know about bike racing but were afraid to ask.
Afterwards there will be the opportunity to buy copies of the book and get them signed. There will also be a very limited number of hand finished “drillium” editions, complete with four postcards and stickers.
We sell craft on draught, Square Mile coffee and freshly prepared food.
