It’s been an amazing year and we are both grateful and happy for this past 12 months. The Warm Ears Music family has slowly, but steadily grown and the feedback we’ve received and of course, everyone who supported us and shared our vibe, were our confirmation we’re on track and we should just keep on going.
To celebrate all of these, we are throwing a massive get-together at our favorite place in London, Bar512.Bring your dancing shoes and positive vibes, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Thanks to Bailey, Billie’s Smile, produced in 2009 received numerous plays on BBC 1Xtra. Due to the positive feedback, Bailey brought the track to the attention of Marcus Intalex culminating in Phil’s first release on Soul:R and propelling him firmly into the Drum & Bass scene.
Phil attributes his parents’ record collection to the development of his musical style, growing up listening to a melting pot of genres including soul, reggae and world music. However, it was to be on his journeys to school listening to his Sony Walkman where he would find his true musical calling and the vehicle for where all his influences could be melded together as one.
Through listening to early LTJ Bukem mix tapes, he discovered Drum and Bass was the versatile arena where he could combine everything he loved about music and the way it could take you to another place.
Having released on such an influential label as Soul:R, Phil is steadily building on his initial success. The future is yet to be written, but is set to be a busy one as he goes from strength to strength.
PAUL T & EDWARD OBERON
Having signed with the mighty V Recordings back in 2015, Paul T & Edward Oberon bring their sophisticated blend of soulful yet dirty Drum & Bass to one of the scene’s seminal labels. With a shared love for Bristol bass, Brazilian flair and the classic sound of Jungle, Paul T & Edward Oberon are the perfect fit for V Recordings – and they’re set to dominate with their own, unique multi-faceted production style.
Before Paul Trivett and Edward Oberon joined forces six years ago, they already had an impressive discography; releasing on respected labels like Spearhead, Dispatch, and Goodlooking as solo artists. After initially working together on tracks over the internet, it wasn’t long before the duo to decide to collaborate on a regular basis.
Paul T & Edward Oberon have an ambitious mission, and it’s working. The duo aim to “bring together visual, arts and music as a whole,” and it’s a theme that has continued throughout their production for Bryan Gee’s label. Tracks like Tempt, Somebody Else and Infamous show the the versatility, talent and ability of the duo, but also hint at the sheer momentum and quality they’ve come to be known for.
Bryan Gee and V Recordings fans aren’t the only ones to notice either. Paul T & Edward Oberon’s tracks have featured on everything from DJ Friction’s flagship Drum and Bass show on BBC Radio 1 as well as play by DJ, Broadcaster and Producer Crissy Criss on Kiss FM.
Although experts in the studio, one of Drum & Bass most exciting duo’s still know how to get a dancefloor moving. The duo have entertained crowds across the world from Club Maximum in Montenegro to places like the Netherlands, Poland and Germany – but they’re just at home smashing sets at Planet V, Soul in Motion or in the mighty Fabric.

Hailing from North London, Artificial Intelligence are a production duo comprising of Zula Warner and Glenn Herweijer. Riding high on their early success they want to spread music “to as many people as possible”. For AI, “It’s the satisfaction of making it but also of spreading it to as many people as possible. Not like a preacher or someone on the TV. Preferring to let their music do the talking across the world, AI continue to make their mark. Over the years they have spanned the slightly darker side, with releases out on Commercial Suicide and 31 Records, as well as flirting with some other labels including Full Cycle, Goodlooking and CIA. A.I have even dabbled with commercial labels, releasing remixes of some of the biggest dance and hip hop tracks of the past few years including Kelis’ Trick Me, Eric Prydz Slammin’ and more recently Fat Freddys Drop Cays Crays.
Since their first release, ‘Hooked On’, on V Recordings in 2003, AI’s reputation has been growing with each release with “Desperado” voted as top DnB track of 2007 by Radio 1 listeners and their single “Uprising” voted by the public as the biggest d’n’b track on BBC Radio 1 in 2006. With regular support from the likes of Grooverider, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Hype, Andy C, Chase & Status and massive remixes for Kelis, Eric Prydz, Roni Size and Goldie. A.I. are one of DnB’s leading lights.
